Most training systems sit outside the work itself — a separate app, a classroom session, or a PDF nobody reads. Supa embeds training directly into the checklists and tasks your team already uses every day. Staff learn at the moment they need the knowledge, confirm understanding with a quiz, then complete the task. There is no context switching and no separate training session to schedule.

Key features

Micro-learning in workflow

Attach a short video or step-by-step guide to any checklist item. Staff watch or read it before completing the step — training happens at the point of execution.

Course builder

Build structured courses with video lessons, written guides, and quizzes. Organise content into modules and set a completion order.

Automated onboarding paths

Assign a sequence of training modules to new hires automatically. When someone joins a role, Supa sends them through the onboarding path without manual intervention.

Skill confirmation tracking

Track who has confirmed each skill, when they passed the associated quiz, and whether their certification is still current.

SOP library

Store all your standard operating procedures in one searchable library with a visual interface. Staff can browse by category or search by keyword.

15+ languages

Publish training content once and deliver it in 15+ languages. Supa AI translates content automatically — no separate localisation workflow needed.

Create a training module

1

Open the course builder

In Supa, go to Training > Courses and click New Course.
2

Add a title and description

Give the course a clear name (e.g., “Food Hygiene — Level 1”) and a short description. Choose the role or location this course is for.
3

Build your modules

Click Add module. Each module can contain:
  • A video (upload an MP4 or paste a link)
  • A written guide with images
  • A step-by-step walkthrough
  • A quiz with multiple-choice or true/false questions
4

Set the completion order

Toggle Sequential completion if staff must finish each module before unlocking the next. Leave it off to let staff complete modules in any order.
5

Assign to roles or locations

Under Assign, choose which roles or locations should complete this course. You can also set a completion deadline.
6

Publish

Click Publish. Supa notifies assigned staff and the course appears in their My Training list on mobile.

Attach training to a checklist step

The micro-learning in workflow feature lets you link a training module — or a single piece of content — to any individual checklist item. Here is how:
1

Open the checklist template

Go to Templates, open the checklist you want to enhance, and click on the item you want to attach training to.
2

Add a learning attachment

Click Attach training, then choose an existing module from your SOP library or upload new content (video, image, or document).
3

Set as required or optional

Mark the attachment as Required if staff must view it before they can complete the item. Set it to Optional if it is reference material only.
4

Save and publish

Save the item. The next time staff encounter this checklist step, they will see the training content before the completion input.
Attach a 60–90 second video and a two-question quiz to any checklist item that involves a safety-critical or brand-standard task. Staff watch the video, pass the quiz, and then complete the task — confirming understanding before they act.

AI-powered course generation

If you have existing documentation — a PDF hygiene manual, a Word-format SOP, or a slide deck — Supa AI can convert it into a structured training course automatically. In Training > Courses, click Generate with AI, upload your document, and Supa AI will:
  • Break the content into logical modules
  • Write quiz questions for each module
  • Format everything as a ready-to-publish course
Review and edit the generated content before publishing. This typically takes minutes rather than the hours required to build a course manually.

Tracking completion and certification

The Training dashboard shows a real-time view of team progress:
  • Completion rate — percentage of assigned staff who have finished each course
  • Quiz scores — individual and average scores per module
  • Certification status — whether each staff member holds a current certification for a given course
  • Overdue — staff who have not completed assigned training by the deadline
Filter by location, role, course, or individual. Export the report as a CSV or PDF for compliance audits or HR reviews.
